I hope this is the correct section for this question.

As mobile games grow more and more power hungry along with their respective devices, the batteries simply can't keep up, and especially data and GPS prone games such as Ingress your batter can be depleted within an hour.

So do you have a powerbank for your phone, and how large it is? I currently only have a small 2000mAh one, but might have to upgrade it to a way, way bigger soon. It has still been a very nice addition especially during travel.

Never really heard of it really.

Practically just an extra batter that you can use with any USB-chargeable devices. Given how many phones nowadays don't have removable batteries, and external power source is a godsend, and being able to charge other devices as well won't hurt.

Most of them hold charge enough for 1-2 full charges on the road, but there are even way bigger ones available.

ahh I see, its something that would be useful.

I have a 6500mAh one I got on sale. It lacks any brand identification, but its best feature is definitely the built in micro USB cable. It tucks into the perimeter of the bank and is amazing in a bind. Don't use micro USB? That's fine for this charger, as it has a small rubber compartment at the bottom where you can put a little adapter. The size is perfect, and I am very happy with the capacity. Honestly, I can't really see a downside of picking up a larger capacity, just so I would have to worry about it even less. My powerbank has gotten me out of many binds, and it always finds its way into my bag. Easiest way to become a hero? Offer someone with a dead phone a full charge with this handy device.

I do have a couple powerbanks. I find when using GPS and other resource intensive apps, my battery will run out quick. Nice to have a powerbank and just plug it in while on the go or not near an outlet.

Yes, I have one! (Jackery Giant with 10400 mAh) It's fairly powerful - it can charge both a tablet and a phone at the same time (though I usually charge them separately). It's been very helpful for times when my battery's running out especially on long trips - saved my bacon a few times when I'd needed to make a call and my battery's run down or for long trips when my Kindle's run down from reading/using internet... I also like that for its capacity, it's not as big as other batteries I've seen with the same capacity (at the time). It's not so new now, so I'm sure there are better ones on the market - when it conks out I'll definitely buy another again.

And I agree with YaBoyJoey - I've saved more people with my powerbank than I've saved myself, actually.

I've got one, it's Medion 2600 mAh. My phone battery has 3140 mAh, so it's not even enough for just one full charging, but I got it almost for free and it's really useful for travelling. It usually takes me 5-6 hours, so my battery itself won't allow me to play games for that long, but with this powerbank I get additional 80% of the battery, so it changes everything. It's not something that you use everyday and that you really need, but it's great addition to everybody's equipment.
