The main reason for making games exclusive to a particular platform is to bump up the sales of that hardware. It's just like what we have in Xbox Series and Playstation 5 console games that are exclusively to them. Some gamers really hate the idea of game's exclusives because it prevents them from playing games they needed to play.
For me, as long as the game's exclusives are later released or ported to other platforms in some years, I'm very good with it.

I don't like game exclusives because it forces gamers to be only able to play the game on the exclusive console.

A lot of poorer or frugal gamers may not to be play exclusive game until it gets release for PC, smartphone, and more affordable consoles because they only own a older PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, or only play games on a computer they also use for school and work tasks. Plus, they can't easily afford a PS5 and Xbox Series X because of money problems.

Yeah, it's a kick in the teeth for a lot of gamers who can't easily afford those new gaming hardwares.

That is true. I read on a blog that a Playstation 5 console cost over $800 money in Brazil because of high sales tax.
