Some people are very concerned when it comes to making use of VPN. There seem to be some sort of breach or leak of data when making use of them and it's why some shy away from using VPN for any reason whatsoever. This is why I prefer making use of only paid VPN because I can't trust free VPN to do the job well.

I don't enjoy using VPN most times. Most of the VPNs that I know can slow down network and make your browsing experience a bit stressed up. So, I decided to stop making use of them at the moment.

Not a fan of it either since it can hinder connections. I don't care if my ISP knows I'm looking at hentai or not :p

I sometimes use VPNs to watch online videos, music, and websites which block foreigners from accessing the video or music on the site. I generally don't use VPN because it can make my connection slower.

I've seen ads like Grungie said on AVGN videos and he uses it for Netflix to watch certain things. IMO I'm sure free ones are good, but I have nothing to hide unless I search something for more information and go to a site with so many ads I leave and hope they don't track me.

Our new computer comes with McAfee’s. I tried it a few times but it prevented me from accessing many sites & forums, including my own. If anybody knows of how to fix that, I would love to utilize their safety features.

One I had looked into before was NordVPN. Since I use DuckDuckGo search engine, I learned of their TunnelBear. As that page says: "Recommended by a duck, protected by a bear!"

It’s annoying though that we DO have to continually use things like this in order to be safe on the internet. I guess I think of it just like any other insurance. Pain to have, but definitely needed.

I'd advise aginst using anything Mcafee, using the basic windows defender with Malwarebytes would be a better setup and then grab a low pay vpn if you feel you need that extra security.

When it comes to VPNs, I've never really used them. I honestly don't understand the reasoning behind a VPN other than to hide your location. With that being said, no, I don't use VPNs. If I understood how they worked, that may be a different story.

I don't bother with one but we do have to use one for work. I would potentially use one if I ever need to access some region restricted content on Netflix but haven't had to do that as yet

I use a VPN for privacy reasons. Since all the data is encrypted, the ISP provider can not track the sites, that you have been visiting. The weak point is indeed that you have to trust the VPN provider and that they do not keep logs

Thank you! I've heard of Windows Defender & know of several people who use it. I haven't heard any complaints either from them.

I have used VPN once or twice but I don't see much need for it. Ever since then, I haven't used it till now.

I don't like using VPN. I have never used it and I'm sure I won't have any needs for it.

I agree and also to get around paywalls of news sites.
