Do you make sure your console is in a room that has good air circulation?

Yes, I make sure the back, front, top, left and right side of my game consoles has atleast 1 feet of free space for proper air circulation. I also put my console on a table instead of a TV cabinate since there aren't any walls stopping air circulations.

I make sure my power brick is on a hard surface instead of carpet, so the heat does not get trap between the carpet and the power brick.

So far, none of my consoles had over heating problems.

My PS3 never overheats for some reason, but only that. My PS2 does that frequently (I think there is something wrong with the fan), and my Gamecube and N64 do it sometimes. PS1, very rarely. And my room is either air conditioned, or the window is open.

my console don't have much side room but I have never had a problem over heating. though I don't play them for very long (2-3 hours at the most) and I always shut them off when done.

On Saturdays I can go up to 12 hours playing the PS2. That's why it probably overheats. I think I should stop playing for so long...

We have small fans next to each of ours and they're slightly raised at the four corners so there's more circulation
