Like how you notice someone's habits or something out of place...not like Sherlock Holmes...but something close to that.
 
gaming to working to cooking, it depends on what I depend on what I feel like at the time. Like I can wash the car in very good condition and looking for very little small bits, other times I'm in a rush and not doing a good job. Always looking for cracks of all cracks.
 
I'm totally oblivious to certain details.
My gf is usually picking out smaller details when we're gaming so good thing I have her in my life.
 
Not for Gaming but if some other then myself makes a spelling grammar mistake I do tend to point it out to them and tell them it :P
 
I am not usually detailed oriented when doing daily tasks like vacuuming the floor because of a lack of time.

I am more detail oriented when buying more expensive products like a gaming computer or a TV. I like to know all the products features I am getting, if the product is reliable, and if it looks nice before buying something expensive.

Guess it's not me alone. To be honest, I have been thinking whether I am being too picky about certain things these days
