I watched the Queens Gambit on Netflix some months back and made me fall in love with the game all over again. I don't have very many friends who know or wish to learn how to play. I'm no expert or anything but I do enjoy playing. Some of my best games I feel are when I lose my queen.

Do you play chess?

Whelp, funny you mention this. In our much downtime at my work, a co-worker of mine plays chess over on chess.com and I've been playing it and gotten addicted to it. To the point, that I watched one, JUST ONE chess video on youtube and now getting crazy recommends and ended up being subbed to chess simp:

which I guess makes me a simp to chess as well, damn my luck and damn these professional bots on the chess site.

I've always wanted to learn chess because it looks like so much fun, but no one I knew knew how to play, despite my cousins owning one when I was little. Now I look at it and think, I might be too smooth brained for such a complex game in which you need to think like 4 turns ahead.

Never tried it because I don't know how to play. There was a point where I wanted to try and learn but I never bothered to.

Yeah, I fail at thinking ahead. That video I linked above, the person is usually planning six moves ahead.

I could never play like this - I'm not good at speed chess but I always love watching others play.

there are chess players and then there show offs like this.

lol I believe there are in fact people that ARE this good. I watch an interview with Anya Taylor-Joy and she admitted that she doesn't really know how to play chess but she memorized these moves like a dance. That in itself I find extremely impressive!

If anyone wants to play sometime I'd love to! I'm not sure if there are any free platforms online or if you feel like playing on the switch. Let me know. ;)

I tired chess once or twice when I was quite younger but never really got into it. Also there is a free chess game on steam too.

Switch has chess? Also like mention there is chess.com like the huge well known chess site :p
Hopefully with Clubhouse games then again never looked.

I play chess but very rarely. Never went into strategy but I always like to go safe with every piece for as long as I can so I cover my pawns with other pieces and look for openings.

I used to play chess a long time ago. I would consider myself good to some extent but there are many other ways I can improve. I need a new player to have a go again.
