I like chat rooms since they are in real time, unlike some shoutout boxs which only refreshes to the latest shout out when you refresh the page.
Do you prefer chatrooms or shoutout boxs?

Shoutboxes...quick and easy, and no fancy java and logging in business for the most part.

I( believe IRC does not require Java, or any other codding. Plus, logging in is not to hard. But, you need an IRC chat server.
