I do prefer offline shopping with cash because I feel it is more safe since a robber can only steal the money in my wallet if I get robbed. I also feel using cash is more private where only me, people lining up behind me and the cashier know what I am buying.
There are a lot of news stories of criminals stealing the data on a debit and credit card or user account shopping website data, and stealing user's money.

Well, if we stick with major shopping websites like Amazon or Flipkart, that's not going to be an issue.

I usually use giftcards to shop online when possible because a cybercriminal only can steal the smaller amount of money on my giftcard instead of hacking into my bank accounts' credit and debit cards where cybercrimanals can steal more money.

Using gift cards to purchase something online is a great idea.
