Sometimes if it is a good tip for improving something I made like if a commenter said "Your website loads very slow". I thank them for pointing it out.

But, if they made a troll comment like "You look like you been hit with an ugly stick in this photo.". I just block, delete their comment (if I'm a mod or admin), and report them for trolling.

I often follow the principle: "Don't feed the trolls." So what does this mean?

It means you should not reason with them, talk or confront them, because it only makes the situation worse.

Just block and delete their posts and go after the next troll. Trolls pretty much know what they done and the repercussions that follow afterward.

Derp, your idea is stupid. No, I don't. Unless it's in a video game and I wanna piss around with them. umad bro?

I dislike those troll comments on a Nintendo Wii fan topics where trolls post "Wii sucks!" since they don't add much to the disscussion.

depends on my mood and the comment. If I am in high spirits and I can really mess with the troll I go ahead with it.

I think many trolls just want people to react to them like those "Bratty kids and class clowns, who do bad or dumb things to get attention from their parents and classmates." I feel if enough people ignore and block them, they eventually go to another website or profile.

I once warned a troll on GF and the result - got a email with Conflicker in it. A big reminder for us not to say anything to them, they can make threats, hack a site, etc. (which isn't pretty). Confronting them on your own site is one thing, confronting them on a well known commercial site (Youtube or Twitter) is another.

who did that and when?

Indeed, many trolls can be tech savvy since they can have a lot of spare time on their hands for learning about hacking, and harming others websites and computers since they have so much time to use to troll.

It is best to not respond to any of them and quickly remove them from sites or from posting on your Youtube or social network accounts.

Being outspoken online can also lead to an increase in trolls coming to your Youtube videos. This is one of the reasons I don't really use video replies on Youtube or "provocative titles, descriptions, and tags" and mostly rely on Youtube search and my blogs, twitter and personal sites to get most of my views since I highly doubt trolls will search for "Computer tutorials for windows" on Youtube to troll on. Most of the trolls I get on Youtube come from the related videos sidebar or links people post of my videos online.

Never open troll e-mails, suspicous unknown senders, or spam e-mail since E-mails can contain viruses and other bad things.

I think it is best to just block, delete, and not contact them since they have a lot of free time to learn about hacking.

Hopefully, they don't take your ban, delete, or block personally and just move on to the next website, or profile.
