I know several people who have music playing on their computer when gaming. Maybe it helps them concentrate more. For me however, I can’t focus when I have background noise, even if it is good music. I also don’t like to even have the volume on at all for the special effects. Just grates on my nerves sometimes lol

I don't run anything exteme, so I do run other programs. But if I was blasting a high end game at full specs, it pretty much be the only thing running.

Usually, just a place to chat with certain people if they are online. But if it's a single-player game I leave it on but ignore it until I finish a level or mission.

I usually close all my programs while playing PC games, so the PC game I am playing have fewer slowdown problems because another program is using too much of my PC's RAM and CPU resouurces.

Yes, I have many programs open while playing games! I have 32 GB of memory, so I don't worry too much about that! Only got a couple Blue Screens since this current laptop's lifespan! And I have yet another hard disk built in that I never use, so if anything bad happens to the current one, I can back up old data to my external drive, and transfer the data from the old drive to the unused one, since I have another operating system installed on there! I average my laptops to be operational for at least 5 years before retiring and replacing them!

It depends on the platform that I'm playing. If I play with my smartphone, I won't run any other programs on it till I'm done. But if it's on PC, I can have a lot of other programs running.
