When making trips using buses from one destination to a far distance, do you always sleep off or stay awake during the duration of the trip?

If the ride isn't too bumpy.

It depends on the distance where I'm travelling to. If it's too far, I might sleep and wake up a couple of times before getting to my stop.

I usually stay awake when taking a public bus trip because some of the passengers have mental health problems which make them more violent, and the bus sometimes drive to the part of town with more crime being commited per day.

I've done it once.

When I was in band, we took a drip to Disneyland (in Florida) and we had to drive by bus there. It took nearly 24 hours to get there by bus so you kind of had to sleep on the bus for at least part of the trip.

I would sleep multiple times before getting there if I were in the bus. 24 hours on the bus is surely going to wear anyone out to sleep off.

Only when my husband & I took trips up north at night, could I fall asleep in a moving vehicle. But it was just me & him & our dog. I couldn't do it in public or even with others in the vehicle.

I feel I would be being rude if I sleep on a public bus which trip is usually under 1 hour to complete because someone like an elderly person may need to use the seat, and they can't use the sleep if I fall asleep on the seat. I would also be afraid a theift will steal my my wallet and things in my pocket if I fall into a deep sleep on a bus.

When I had a band trip to Chicago at night, yes. I was so asleep I almost did while listening to jazz when I was there.
Once it's a night trip, chances that most people will fall asleep is always going to be very high. No one can cheat nature without getting caught up.
