Do You Still Play Old Games?

I often play my old favorite games, such as GTA San Andreas, Fallout 3 (this one is relatively new when compared to GTA SA), even Oblivion, Morrowind and some older Bioshock versions. I even played Mount and Blade (2008 again) and the Godfather. However, I never play them for long. Fallout 3 is perhaps one exception, but then again, it is also one of the best games by Bethesda.

I've realized that although I've enjoyed these games so much, they don't keep me interested for a long time now. I can be enthusiastic about them for a week or two, but that's it: after that time, I forget about them again.

What about you? Do you play your old favorites?

I regularly replay my old favorites, like Baldur`s Gate 2 or the classic Fallouts. Also, Morrowind, and I can`t wait for the remake that some ambitious modders are doing right now, called Skywind. It`s basically a remake of Morrowind in the Skyrim engine. I never finished Mount and Blade, although it sits on my Backlog for years.

I sometimes load up San Andreas now and again for a little blast around on it. I also like to play about on IL2 Sturmovik sometimes which still has quite a bit of a following behind it and is still being worked on, albeit third party,  even though it's a game dating from 2001.

I have a lot of old favorites that I want to replay, but sadly the new games take all of my time.

For a while there I would go back to playing Kino Der Toten (Black Ops zombies). :)  From time to time I also like to play Age of Empires.  So yes, I do enjoy playing old games.  I am a big fan of remasters.  Currently I am playing Final Fantasy X on PS4 and the nostalgia is awesome. :)

Given that I buy quite a few games from Nintendo's Virtual Console, yes I definitely do still play old games.  Planning to play a few Donkey Kong Land and NES era Zelda titles soon.

Oh, and that's not even getting into all the ROMs I play on emulators...

Definitely.

I'm real big into nostalgia so I tend to get some old school gaming in at least once a week with games like WWF No Mercy, 007 Goldeneye,WWE Smackdown Shut your Mouth, Castlevania Symphony of the night, and the list could go on and on lol.

I have a friend who just hates old school gaming and will not touch them.

Definitely. Most of my gaming is retro back to the NES and Atari. N64 and Gamecube have some of the best games ever. Same with PS2 and PS. Modern gaming can be fun, but I often wait until they go down in price. Unless it's a new Zelda or a huge Nintendo IP.

Yep I prefer retro gaming.
