I think fewer 4GB or less RAM module/stick will be made in the future since more people would rather spend a little bit more money for a 8GB RAM module.
In the farther future, some RAM companies may stop making RAM which is 4GB or less like how there are no new 128MB DDR4 RAM modules which you can buy. I think the smallest amount of DDR4 and DDR5 RAM you can buy is 4GB of RAM per stick.
I notice some cheaper computers now come with 8GB of RAM, but their CPU, hard drive, and video card are slower, so they may not be worth it to buy if you plan on using the computer for a few years. Most likely, the 8GB of RAM is low quality cheap RAM which is less reliable than more expensive RAM from a more reliable brand.
