Yes, I think humans will always use a printer to print text and images on paper and cardboard because printing on paper and cardboard is affordable, and simple to do compared to sticking a thin LCD screen on everything to display info like pictures and text. Barcodes, labels, and price tags printed on boxes is also more affordable than using a microchip to store product and price information.

I think it would take a long time until humans stop printing text and pictures on paper because printing is cheap and convenient to print out a lot of letters, coupons, flyers, and pamphlets and send them to many homes. Printed paper advertisement is still a good way of promoting products like computers, cars, food, etc. Paper ads may work better than TV, Radio, and online ads which most people ignore or block with an ad blocker.

I still get a lot of mail like coupons and advertisements to convince me to buy cars, food, and other things, and ads are printed on paper.

Paper birthday cards, magazines and books like cook books are affordable gifts for people.

There are also still a lot of products like cereal, candy, and juice which is stored in a cardboard paper box with images and text printed on it.

It's like faxes, it will never go away.

I agree printing will never go away. But, I feel text and images maybe printed on lower quality and cheaper paper which is cheaper to make than regular paper which comes from trees.

Well, placing information chips on all products can be very expensive.

Using barcode isn't bad either.

So i believe we would be printing stuff in the future as well..

Unless if we encounter sever scarcity of trees and paper

I think humans may someday print more text and pictures on cheaper paper which is made from cheaper materials like leaves since trees can be expensive compared to leaves which people usually rake up and throw away in the trash or compost into dirt.

Paper is also good for keeping information for a long time without worrying that there won't be a machine to read it in the future. There are some paintings, and books which are very old from the 1800s.

Information can never be stored forever .
Even we need to take care of paper, if it's written down or we need to make multiple copies , because of the hardware failure and such.
So, nothing is permanent according to me.

This is true that information can't be stored forever, so it is a good idea to make many copies of important documents. I think it is best to have both a physical paper and digital version of important documents since there is a chance that a computer document file may no longer be compatible with Word Processors releases in the future, or the document got deleted by a virus, and your backup of a document files also got lost or broken by hardware failure or a computer virus.
