Do you think if more people have better phones, and tablets, they like mobile gaming more?

Yes, I think if more people owned iPads, iPhone, Kindle Fire HD, Nexus 4 Google Android Smartphone, and a Nexus 7 Google Android tablet, more people may enjoy mobile gaming more because the touchscreen is more responsive and sensitive to the players fingers, and the graphics look better then a slower cheaper phone or tablet.

Personally, I use mobile gaming when I'm bored and/or need to pass the time. Instances include taking the bus or subway, long car rides or waiting in line somewhere. I don't believe mobile gaming would overlap console/PC gaming, for example if a person is home they'd rather fire up the 360 than just sit on their tablet, but that's just one man's opinion.

In my experience mobile gaming (of the tablet and smartphone varieties) doesn't offer the same depth of games, at least so far as free app and game downloads go. Maybe I'm wrong, but there you go.

But I do agree that more people are using mobile games, as they've come a long way from what we used to have (brickbreaker on blackberries for example) and they are great time wasters.

Some of the paid 0.99 cents and higher price games for tablets, and Smartphones can be as fun as some more expensive hand held console games. I play tablet games at home some of the games are fun, and keeps me entertained which is a good enough reason to play them at home.

I think there are a lot of gamers who play mobile games at home when they found a fun game app like Plants vs Zombies, Asphalt 7, etc since all they have to do is press the power button on their smartphone or tablet, launch the game app by tapping the icon on the screen, and start playing the game in 3 steps or less if their tablet or phone is already on.

With console gaming, It can be more time intensive to start playing the game because you have to make sure no one else is using the TV for watching TV if your home only have one TV, or you share a TV, looking for the game disc, powering on the TV and game console, inserting the disc, waiting for the console to start-up, waiting for the game to start, picking the right save file for your game console, signing-in to your online game console account, playing the game, turning your console off, putting back the game in the box, charging the controllers after gaming, and changing the channel back to Cable TV instead of HDMI, RCA, or component inputs used for gaming.

Gameloft makes games which are pretty high quality mobile games.

The Archos Gamepad is a pretty good tablet for people who want to play Tablet Gaming since it is affordable, and have built-in controls on the sides of the device.

The Sony Xperia Play is a great smartphone for playing older PSP, PSX and PS2 games and Android games which work with the controls on it's gamepad.

As more powerful Smartphones, and tablets come with controls, or can be connected to a wireless controller like the Moga controller, there would be more game makers like Gameloft, EA, SquareEnix which make games which are not like the 2D and touchscreen-only control games of the past like AngryBirds.

That's some interesting stuff, I wasn't even aware of much of it. I guess I fall under the category of casual mobile gamer... pretty amazing how far it's come though. Like having a PSP you can make calls and send messages with.

Nope. I game on my phone as much as I did when I was using my old Ericsson, Motorola and Nokia phones.

I think that a true gamer will find a way to play games regardless of the device.

Some people just aren't into gaming and their device of choice isnt going to change that one bit.
