Do you think if PC games were made to run great on 5 year old PC, more people game on PC?

Yes, I think more people will get into PC gaming if there were a lot more games which can be played on a 5+ year old computer.

Definitely..... The requirements of some of these games is what keeps me from playing them. I gave up PC gaming in early 2006 because I just couldn't keep up with the hardware I'd need to meet the minimum requirements anymore! The parts just cost too much!

It kind of stinks that PC game makers don't make a version of newer PC games which run good on older computers, but with slightly worse graphics like Call of Duty games on the Wii vs Xbox 360 and PS3 CoD games.

Upgrading is one of the best and worst parts about PC gaming.

Trying to make different versions of the same game could cause many problems and working on different versions could create many inferior versions of the same game.

However, there are some good casual games that will run on almost any system (Bejeweled, etc.) and there are tons of older PC games that are still great.

Same here. I don't care about the 3D graphics so much though. For some reason I prefer old-school 3D to lifelike 3D.

I think that's the reason WoW is so popular. Its graphics are more dated and so playable on more machines. But I think games should push the boundaries of what is possible, otherwise there might be less graphical innovation in the future.

New Pc games are probably made with better and higher graphics, meaning that they are made mostly for the newest grapic card there is and that means that it should be a new computer. With the new types of graphics and intesnse action i dont think 5 year old computers will be able to keep up

There definitely would be more people playing PC games. I myself is one of them. Some newer games are not supported by my PC although I am willing to play them.

Definitely...If it was so, I could even open up a gaming cafe I own this 7-10 year old computers which just lie in a store room in my house, if they could play newer games then there would've been a lan gaming party in my house almost every day
