Possibly since there are Monitors, speakers, and other devices that use USB instead of the standard plugs. But, they are more expensive compared to monitors and speakers which use the standard plugs.
Do you think in the future everything on your computer would be connected to it with USB?

this be nice since you don't have to deal with wires, but then there is a chance of the USB not having right power or having signal being interfered with.
