I think Microft might either bring back the Startbutton and Startmenu for free in 8 via a Windows Update if there is enough demand for one, or make an official version of the Windows 8 Startbutton, and sell it for a few dollars like how Windows Media Center for Windows 8 cost $10, so you can use MCE for playing DVDs and media files.

But, I think an official Startbutton, and Startmenu program from Windows 8 is not needed since Classic Shell which is free already does a prety good job at bringing back the Windows Startmenu, and Startbutton while launching Windows 8 into the classic desktop Window mode after you login after you have Classic Shell installed on Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro Microsoft Operating Systems.

There is also Iobit's Startmenu8, Pokki, Start8, Retro UI, and many other Startmenu, Startbutton, and classic desktop launcher programs which are free or cost $5 or less for people to use to bring back the Startbutton/Startmenu, and launch the classic Windows desktop in Windows 8 after Windows user login.

I don't think they should, it be nice but make MS look bad for putting it back in after taking it out.

There are online rumors of Windows Blue OS which will add a more easy to use user interface, so the Startmenu or something similar may come back.

Nah, I don't think they will. They have way to much pride in their hilariously bad decisions to admit to any wrongdoing on their part. It reminds me of those Windows Vista commercials where they pretend the only reason people didn't like it was because they knew it was windows; like every computer user in the world is OSist against it or something. Like it was our fault it was a bloated piece of $#!t.

This.
I can't believe I had actually installed Vista and kept it for over a year.
