Yes, I think as computers becoming cheaper, and smaller, modem and router makers might put a small built-in computer into the modem, so people can plug in a monitor, keyboard, and mouse in the modem or router to use as a basic computer to browse the web, change the wi-fi password and settings on the modem or router, and to use for office work, and video and music, and use it as a modem and router for other computers connected to it via Wi-Fi or Wired internet.
The $25 Raspberry Pi is small and cheap enough to fit into a router or modem since the R. Pi. is the size of a USB flash drive.
I remember back in the 90s, there was a service called WebTV which use a settop box modem to connects your TV to the web, and use its remote as a keyboard and mouse.

I think Cable companies may be able to use existing Settop boxes or Tivos for HDTV to connect to the internet with TV Cable to surf the web from an HDTV with a remote.
