Yes, I think it will be possible for internet users to subscribe to internet service from other countries like how I buy my web hosting from a German and US Company, and I live in Canada. I think it will happen when Antennas, satellites, and wireless communication becomes more powerful, faster, reliable like wired internet, and the signal can reach across the globe quickly. I think countries like China, India, Philippines, Taiwan, and Russia will let people from other countries order internet service at a very cheap price since their money is worth a lot lower then the US dollar from them, and their minimum wage is lower, so users can connect to the ISP wirelessly instead of via Wired service like Cable, DSL, and Fibre where you need to find a local internet service provider.

It is also possible that a group of people will put their money together to buy a few satalites, antennas, and intenet connection servers, and hardware to provide free internet to everyone, and the ISP will be funded by donations like Wikipedia, or paid by giant companies like Google, Amazon, Steam, Yahoo, and Facebook which earn money from ads, online storage services, selling apps, music, video, online games, and other goods and services instead of charging people for using their websites and connections like ISPs.

I would think a out of country internet would give you horrible speeds or quick fixes if it goes down.

I think in the future distance will not matter as much when it comes to speed since a lot of people visit website with web servers located in Japan, France, etc and the websites load pretty quickly, so maybe internet service will be the same.

I think Quick fixes depends on the staff at the internet provider more then distance if the staff are fast, they can fix the internet quickly.

Sure. Right now the most major issue imo is the Paypal support in certain countries which I'm sure will be fixed in the future.

I know when my internet goes down they got to send out the repairmen. Can't expect quick response from another country. And with the connection going out to possibly millions it could nearly impossible to locate the issue.

Weirdly, when my internet does not work. It starts working after a hour or less without the need for me to phone them. I think when I was dial-up, if one number did not work for dialing the internet, I usually use other local numbers provided numbers by my dialup isp. Now that I think about it dial-up was pretty reliable except for when someone picks up the phone in the house to make a call.

I think the quick response can happen if it is on their hardware or software, and not your computer, modem and wires, but they can hire a local network technician repairman, or you hire one, and send them the bill to re-imburse your repair money.

I think giant web hosting companies like Host Gator web hosting has many millions of customers world wide for website and domain web hosting, and their costumer support is pretty good I read online.

If you subscribe to cellular mobile internet via a tiny Internet box, you can just bring your broken intenet box into a Bestbuy, or other store, and they might replace it with a new working one, or fix it for you when you pay them. I think over time most Internet connections won't be directly connected to your house via wired like how Cell phones are not directly plug into your phones wall jack, so you can bring the internet with you where ever you go via a tiny box you carry in your pocket.
