I think when very fast computer/super computers are cheap enough for the average person to buy maybe most video games might be played via an App/emulator which can play games by using a super fast computer, or a fast game console which is also a everyday computer for doing most computer related tasks like word processing, homework, desktop web browsing with a real browser like Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera, printing, and more which can use a keyboard and mouse and controller.
Maybe someday there would be a Playstation, Nintendo, Microsoft, etc App which can play games on super fast computers and laptops in the future, so people can play PC and console game on a very fast computer via apps.
