Somewhat, I notice some blogs and forums which spam their links in the hope of a search engine bot visiting their site more, but when I visit their site. It has very little or no good content, or too much spammy content which is weirdly written to attract more search engine bots to index their sites by stuffing a lot of Keywords, and weirdly written phrases.
I hate it when people on SEO and internet marketing blogs and forums say spend many hours a day commenting on blogs, forums, and guestbooks since this advice can lead to people using bot software to spam or writing a ton of comments like "Thanks, good posts, great etc."
What is annoying are those members who embed text links in forum and blog posts which make the article hard to read because it is full of text links throughout the article to spammy sites. I usually just remove their links or just delete the entire article.
and if possible I just leave my forum link in my sig and just leave it to the search bot to pick it up while I post on other forums. I don't post my link any further then that unless it's a ad site.
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization which is the task of doing different tasks like posting links on other people's website, buying links, paid reviews, writing content with a lot of keywords related to the topic to make more people find your site with search engines.
I think you can waste a lot of time and money trying to please the search engines if you do not know what you are doing or spending money in the wrong places.
I read people are afraid their website is not fast enough for Google. I think this can cause some people to buy more expensive web hosting costing 20-100+ dollars a month to have a faster website just to please Google and the very non-patient visitor.
