I fully understand using the internet, tweeting, facebooking and such on a phone but is there really such a need to play games on then? Maybe it just me but I feel that it just too much work trying to get the game to behave the way you want it.

I tried to play Deus ex the fall (Deus Ex: The Fall on the App Store) on my ipod touch and the experience was bad. Mind you I played it on pc beforehand and it wasn't that bad, even for a port.

So yeah do you think that games on phones are really needed?

They are good little time wasters, but they need to be made specifically for touch controls.

I think there is a need for simple time killer games like tetris or things like that, but not full blown games like final fantasy.

I think they are aimed more towards the casual market. I've never found a mobile game actually fun, I find controlling by touch fiddly and just don't like the experience - but there is no doubting the income potential with casual markets.

If you are have a good smartphone or tablet, and gamepad controller, some mobile games like Asphalt 8, or Gangster Vegas can be fun on a mobile device.

The Nintendo Switch is basically a tablet with detachable wireless controllers with a motion controls like the Wii. The Wii U is also basically a tablet with controls on the side of the tablet. But, you need to use discs to play games from the console.

Candy Crush Saga, Clash of Clans, Temple Run, and Pokemon Go are good games to play if you enjoy mini games where you don't need to remember a lot of buttons, and button combos to beat a level.

I agree. If you have a good tablet or smartphone and a lot of patience, playing mobile games can be an enjoyable experience every now and then.

I literally have one game on my phone and I barely play on it. It's just on my phone to ensure that I have something when I'm on the bus or travelling and have nothing else to do. But even then it gets super boring after a while. None of the mobile games are as addictive as the console or PC games

I guess it depends on what the expectation for a mobile game is. I just play games like Clash Royale. It's fun and it's pvp. It kills the time and always drains my battery.

There are a couple of games on my phone but I only play them once in a while when I'm looking to kill a couple of minutes. Like when I'm at work and I want to kill the last few minutes of my lunch break. Or if I'm standing in line somewhere and I want to take up a few minutes while I wait my turn. However, I don't really see this as something that I have to have. I got a cell phone in the event of an emergency so that I can contact someone if I'm on the road and I need to contact someone to come get me.

I think the simple top down RPG's work fine on a smartphone, there's not intricate controls that you need to worry about, like say Street Fighter or King of Fighters on phones. I do enjoy playing some of those old Dragon Quest games on my phone, as they require a bit of grinding, so sitting on a trip and doing a bit of grinding is a nice time waster. They tend to have quick saves, so I can quit whenever I want.

Yes of course! some games in phone are pretty fun maybe one day they will defeat PC, due to the reason technology keeps on evolving every time, we don"t know tomorrow will be the new start of an era where phones becoming more high end.

I think fewer people expected Nintendo to make a gaming tablet when the Gamecube was popular, but now we have the Nintendo Switch Gaming tablet which can play console quality games.

There is a chance that Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, and other companies would release a good Gaming Smartphone with good games which work with a gamepad controller built-in like the Nintendo 3DS, PSP Vita, and Gameboy.
