However, a lot of people these days believe that freeware, pirated software, discount and open source software will increase competition for paid software which make it harder for people to make a living out of software.
But, I think corporate buyers will still keep using paid software like MS Office since a lot of people still do not know how to use Sun Open Office, or IBM Lotus Symphony.
