Do you think the Wii u controller will have a pointer functionality?

Since the controller came out, I always thought about how it could be compatible with Wii games. Because most Wii games require you to point at the screen, like Super Mario Galaxy, and I wonder if the Wii u controller has a pointer functionality or not.

Do you think the top part of the controller has a sensor to let you point at the screen?

As for the sensor, its prolly inside and you hold it like a plate. Its MY theory but IDK.

The system is compatible with wii-motes. The controller has a sensor, but that's for other games like the baseball catching one.

If it's included, I hope you don't have to use it all the time.. Was pretty annoying to use the wiimote for selecting a game on the menu, when you were going to play with another controller.

Yeah, since the WiiU is totally backward compatible with the Wii, I guess they are aiming that MOST of the WiiU buyers will be current Wii users. Or maybe a Wiimote+ will be included with every WiiU.
