What happens in the next 50 years of your gaming career?

Do you wish to play on, till old age or you'll give it a break at some stage in your career?

At the meantime, I don't have any thought of given up on gaming even in the next 60 years, it's a perpetual one for me. I'll play as long as my health permits me, unless complicated health issues hinders my progress playing games.

I think I'll play games until I'm unable to. I have aspirations and ideas for making gaming a career, such as gaming press/videos, etc. I'll do it for as long as I can.

That's tremendous of you being passionate about gaming. Do you wish to earn money full-time from the ideas you've shown here concerning gaming?

I've done it before where I've earned money making videos. There was a time where I worked for some of the biggest MMORPG press sites as a video editor. I never made enough to quit my job, but it was a great source of secondary income.

If I could do it full time I would.

Well my grandma is like 83 or 84, still manages to play somewhat active games besides RPGs. So I think so and I think in the coming years the gaming industry is going to think more about its aging players.

Though sadly at 30 button mashers seem to be getting beyond me.

I would most likely continue to play games when I am a senior citizen because gaming is one of the most affordable hobby where a lot of the PC games cost $30 or less when there is a Steam sale, or they are free when there is a game giveaway, so Gaming is a hobby I can afford even if I am retired and no longer making as much money per month.

There are also a lot of games like Minecraft, card and board games, trivia games, music, and puzzle games which people of all ages can enjoy even if their hands and mind are not as fast as they used to be.

Mobile games and web browser games/flash games can also be a fun way to pass time for people of all ages while they are waiting for someone, or something.

That's a wonderful experience you've achieved around gaming, which have proven that you're a passionate gamer who wants to even earn a living full-time via gaming if the chance present itself.
I love gaming just as you do, and I am ecstatic to play till old age.

I play a ton of JRPG’s, so it depends on my time at hope whenever (or if) I get married and have kids. One of my friends is married with two toddlers, and he can still put over 100 hours in games in less than a month, so I have hope for myself.

Heck yeah! It would be a cardinal sin to stop gaming after starting at such a young age (3 years of age in my case!)!

WE GAME TILL WE ARE ON OUR DEATHBED!!!
YEP THIS ! :sunglasses:

That's a great way of gaining motivation, we game on till death. Gaming is what I can't stop at the moment, it's part of my happiness being alive.

If gaming looks the way it does right now, I don't see why I can't still game when I'm older. If gaming does change, then it will depend on WHAT changes are made. It will kind of depend on certain variables.

I have 3 kids, I'll tell you while they are infants gaming will be difficult for a time. As they get older it gets easier, toddlers still require a lot of attention, they are basically suicidal maniacs at that age.

I will game on my deathbed.

I think the industry is leaning toward VR/AR, and there will be a stronger push sometime soon. It's exciting to see where gaming will end up. Hope I'm around long enough to see brain interfacing lol

You can never be certain about the future, obviously. But I like to think that I would keep gaming until I am physically unable to.

Always thought I would when I was younger but in recent years I’ve mostly not played games. The amount of gaming I’ve done over the past two or so years is massively less than previously so maybe I’ll fall out of it completely or maybe I’ll get back into it again - guess we will wait and see.

Absolutely. My eye sight and hearing could start to degrade but I will still always play video games I think.
