Do you think you'll always buy a TV when your TV breaks?

I'm not sure if I will always buy a TV when my current TV break since there might be another type of video display in the future which is more portable, cheaper, and has an adjustable screen size where I can make the screen size bigger or smaller depending on the size of the room.

Those Pocket sized laser projectors look pretty nice, and portable, so they look pretty nice to use for gaming, watching video, and connecting to a PC to display video in anywhere.

It is also a hassle to throw away old TVs since they can be very heavy, and I need to bring it to an electronics recycler since the trash collector won't throw away broken TV since the law says people need to bring electronics to a recycling place.

Right now I will buy another tv when my current one breaks, after that? Who knows.

When my current TV breaks, I'll buy a cheap HD TV. My TV is a cheap one from late 1998, so it doesn't work too good. Sometimes it doesn't work at all, but I don't have money to buy a new TV yet.

My husband is talking about getting us an 84 inch TV.. I am wondering about which wall he is going to have removed to bring it in here.

All of our TV's work though.. and I told him that it would be a good idea to wait until one of our TVs die before we think about getting a new one.

All of them are CRT, and are in very good condition because we don't really watch TV like that..

CRT, those are the fat back ones right?

And I don't get why people buy large screen tvs. They are nice but too big is a bad thing.
I also don't understand why people buy big screen TV. It probably be cheaper to go to the movie theature to watch hundreds to thousands of movies on a very big screen, and with better surround sound, or buy a few front row tickets to a sports game.

A Big screen could be useful at a big bar, and restaurant where people watch sports, the news, etc when they are seated very far away from the screen, but for a small sized room, it is not really needed.

I will probably one, but it will be one that is considered obsolete already so its much cheaper. I have a 42 in and a 32 in flat screens in my house and didn't pay more than $350 for either one of them.

Buying 720P and lower resolution TVs can also be cheaper as well, and on smaller TV sized TV sets sometimes you can't really tell the difference between 720P and 1080P resolution, or the difference is very small. I think even on bigger TVs the quality of a 1080P or 4K TV may not be as noticeable because a lot of TV shows' and Video games' are still 720P or lower like DVD which is still 480P.
