Interesting topic to debate, do you believe in or trust charities? Many are known to be scams and some do tend to give money to the wrong places.

A lot of them do some great work but there just isn't enough money going to the people we want to help which makes me not trust them. The only ones I'll support now are the ones that are buying food for kids/families that don't have enough to eat in the UK.

I know some charitable organizations are doing some tremendous work but not all are simply doing smart work as we've wished. They are hiding under the umbrella of charities and scamming people just in the name of helping those vulnerables.

I trust charities which has a good reputation with the Better Business Bureau, and other Business rating services.

For the most part... not really. A lot of things become really sketch with donations and how much even actually goes to the people being supported.

ESPECIALLY when it comes to civil rights groups. I've seen crazy numbers go around trying to "help" low income communities, but it ends up leading to nothing usually, especially after all the press and media coverage disappears.

One charity that I never mind donating to is St. Jude's Children. Children who need life saving treatment never have to pay a dime for their medical care through St. Judes.

some can go great! but it depends on the people and the reasoning for the organization.

Really it depends on how big they are. Some of the bigger ones are the most wealthy, but the smaller ones usually help out communities more. It really goes down to "How helpful is the charity?"

Most of the money goes to administration but if you find ones that give back more to their goodwill and meaning those are what to look out for.

Things like that, I don't mind donating to.

There are some places I am skeptical about donating to because I've heard about the scams.

I trust some local independent charities but I don't support larger charities, there are too many CEOS getting big wages.
