I definitely use cheats when I just want to have fun. Sometimes you just want to play one certain level or skip a bunch of the game just to play a certain part of the game. This is when a cheat comes in handy. It can help you skip to the middle of the game. Plus, who doesn't enjoy playing GTA with a couple cheats and just destroying stuff??
I'll only use cheats if I'm hopelessly stuck on a level or certain part of game, and that means I've tried for at least a week or 2
and called my little brother down to get me past something and he was unable as well. Whenever I use cheats I feel like I'm not
as good a gamer as I'd like to think I am, and while I don't necessarily have the highest opinion of myself, I do think I come from
an age were gaming really just kicked it up a notch, and to fail there is a disgrace to my generation
I don't use cheats unless I finished the whole game, and there's nothing else to do. It takes the fun out of games when you cheat from the beginning. At least attempt to play the game, because what's the point of buying it if you're going to cheat. For little kids it's okay, but for adults I just think it's wrong.
Never did use a cheat as I love the exploring and discovering. Now my daughters do all the time and I can't avoid to learn from them. No seriously, I got frustrated once or twice in a game that I could not crack (and I am very patient, I can try a level 100 times) and used a cheat to crack ... But that is once or twice out of 1000's of levels ...
I don't believe in cheats being used to beat the game since that in my opinion is "cheating".
But I do like to use them AFTER I have beaten a game for fun, so even though I am using cheats during the gameplay I really do not see it as "cheating" since If I have already beaten the game and now only using them for fun.
I see them as a reward for finishing the game. Once you get the platinum trophy and there's nothing else to do, then break out the cheat sheet. I know kids today can't finish games without cheating because they're too difficult. I hear them saying all the time, " It's too hard to finish this level." When the reality is they just give up too easy. Back in the day games took skill to finish, and there were very few cheat codes. Now anyone can Google cheat codes for any game to look like they're a pro.
Same here. In most of the games I play, there's nothing to do after you beat the game, especially if you're like me and you've also unlocked everything and such. From there, I start fooling around with cheat codes.
I don't like cheating in any sense.
Only times I've ever used cheats is when we've already beat a game earlier but start over on a different console but want unlockables.
I only use cheats after I've already beaten the game or I'm bored after beating the game. If you're truly a good gamer, you don't need cheats to beat a game.
Personally, I do use cheats because it just makes the game more fun for me. I just like the novelty of being able to have extra abilities and things that can help in the game. Most of the time, I only use them after finishing the game once, but sometimes I do break out the cheat sheet and just mess around for fun.
