100 million can't be wrong, try it today https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleanmaster.mguard

I use Clean Master, and it works very well at getting rid of junk files, killing background apps, scanning for viruses, removing my search and browsing history, and removing apps which I no longer use in Google Android.

I like the Game Booster program which claims to make games faster in Android.

Is it a scam?
No, it is not a scam. It has 200 million downloads on Google Play, and it has been on the Google Play App store for a long time, so if it was a scam it would not have as many downloads, and Google would of removed it from its apps store by now.

Doe's it actually make your device faster?
Yes,  it could make a device faster after you use the Task Killer or just use a regular scan which cleans out junk and cache files, and also kills background tasks and apps which use up RAM and CPU cycles. I think there is also an automated task killer which automatically kills background tasks when Android is low on memory.

It has an App manager which can also be used to help beginner user disable bundle apps like YouTube, Google Plus, Google Chrome, Hangouts, and other apps, so they are no longer running in the background using up RAM , and CPU resources which can't be uninstalled, but can be disable with the App Manager.

The antivirus program also scans, and remove Android virus apps which could make a device slower.

I don't trust anything that says it can make your device faster. Just wrong wording really.

I agree the wording is not very good, but there is truth to these System Apps description which claim they make a device faster since a lot of smartphone and tablet makers like Samsung has a lot of bloatware, and bundled apps like TouchWiz, etc which slow down a device because of the high ram and cpu usage caused by start-up bloatware and pre-bundled apps. Once you use Task Killer apps to stop background apps, it also stops the bloatware and pre-bundled apps from running which makes your device faster. System Utilities app can also help uninstall Bloatware on rooted device, and disable bloatware on non-rooted devices. A lot of devices also run very slowly once the storage is filled out, so uninstalling bloatware, and unused apps, and cleaning out junk files, and cache files would make a device which has very little storage space more faster than a device with very little free space.

I think a lot of App makers, software makers like Clean master, Tuneup Utilities, CCleaner, Advance System Care, and System Mechanic use words like speed booster, make computer faster, ram booster, cpu booster, etc because a lot of people use Google, Bing, Yahoo and other search engines to search for programs and Apps which make Windows and Google Android faster, so system utility program makers will get less web search engine traffic to their System Utility app, and software pages if they don't use keywords like speed booster, ram booster, cpu booster, make smartphone faster, boost smartphone speed, smartphone speed booster, and other performance related keywords in their app and software description because less people use technical keywords like endtask of background processes, kill background program, or disk clean up utility.

I downloaded it a couple of months ago and I'll say it definitely helped my device. It's especially useful for phones that don't have enough ram and that constantly kicks you out of your apps. It's awesome for managing your storage as well, pretty awesome all around.

I wonder how they get their money though, I don't remember them bothering me with ads.

I notice using Clean Master seem to make big games like Gameloft Asphalt 8 lag and stutter less when I use the Game Booster, or Phone Booster before I launch the game on my Nexus 7 2012 which only has 1GB of RAM.

I think Clean Master get money from recommending Apps in the App recommendation section in the App picks section of the App manager and Game Booster of Clean Master, and probably posting sponsored paid articles on their blog at http://www.cmcm.com/blog/en/

A lot of free apps don't have ads these days because people don't like ads, but after they become popular the free apps may release paid apps, themes, and services when they are popular like how Rovio have both free games, and paid games like Angry Birds.

I have used it for quite some time. I actually replaced Advanced Mobile Care with it which is strange for me because I have always been a fan of Advanced System Care on PC. I heard there was a Clean Master for PC? Anyone used that?

I recently tried Clean Master for PC which help me removed about 200MB of junk files from Windows. I kind of like the Blue and white user interface more in Clean Master than the dark and neon user interface in Advance Mobile Care.
