Do you use your cell phone or tablet as an external drive to store your music, photos, documents, and other file types?

I sometimes use a tablet to store files like MP3s.

my only storage devices are USB and SD cards. So no, I don't use a phone or tablet.

I don't because my smartphone and my tablet have 32 GB of internal storage, while my (faster) external HDD has 2 TB.... so... it's easy ;)

32GB is enough space to backup a lot of people's most important files like photos, short home video, homework, resume, receipts, documents, ebooks, website bookmarks, phone numbers, e-mail contacts, and music.

It may be slower, but if your house got robbed, flooded, or damaged while you are out, you are more likely not to lose your files because a phone or tablet is usually with you when you are out.

Plus, flash memory on a phone is less likely to fail if it falls on the ground like mechanical hard drives.
