Have any of you watched the recent Doctor Dolittle with Robert Downey Jr.? If so, what are your thoughts about the movie? Will you be waiting till it comes out on dvd/blu-ray?

Saw the trailer, I don't think RD Jr is a fit for this role.

I thought he did a good job playing the part of Doctor Dolittle. In this movie, Dr. Dolittle is kind of eccentric and I thought he does good playing roles where the character is a little bit eccentric.

The movie is pretty funny. I watched this past weekend with my hubby. You'd have to be dead to not laugh at something in this movie.

I haven't watched the one with Robert Downey Jr. but I did like the one with Eddie Murphy. He's a funny actor although I didn't care for his stand-ups.
Anybody watch both of these? How do they compare?

It’s be weird to watch since Eddy Murphy left too strong of an image for me with Dr Dolittle.
