does a game box cover art makes a difference in your decision to buy a game?

Most of us makes decisions on weather to buy a game based on game play footage, reviews etc, one thing that comes to mind - does the box cover art makes any difference to you?

No, but if the game got a variant cover art that is cooler I'd get the one with the cooler art.

Devs should do more stuff like what NIS America did recently. A contest on choosing an alternate reverse cover art for Trails Of Cold Steel III. And
the alternate cover art that Mr. Demon and myself picked won the most vote, which is cool.

I mostly buy games from seeing reviews and game play sometimes I look into cover thingy tho...

Well, since I don't buy used games, no. I'm not going to buy foreign box art either since it probably costs more.

I would never not buy a game because the game box art isn't nice looking. I care more about the gameplay and the actual game rather than promotional images

It is nice to have a game box with cool cover art. But, I usually buy games after reading a few reviews, and gameplay video.
