Does anyone else wish Nintendo would make a Mario game in the style of Super Princess Peach?

Think about it, the game had some pretty nice graphics and music, it brought back a ton of classic Mario enemies and elements and was supposedly quite well designed, it just relied on a rather stupid set of gameplay mechanics and hence wasn't as fun as it would be if it was a plain old Mario platformer.

Does anyone think it could be interesting to see a New Super Mario Bros game with the same graphical style and many of the things from Super Princess Peach in future?

The gameplay of Super Princess Peach was well done to be honest. Not to mention the game also included many of the Mario enemies from the past.
