Does anyone wish that Nintendo would one day release their original version of Ocarina of Time?

You know, the version where Majora's Mask and Master Quest were add ons to the original game utilising the features of the Nintendo 64 DD.

Where the rumoured stuff like unicorn fountain, obtainable triforce, Light and Ice Temples and various other cut stuff was accessible in game.

Where medallions could be used as items/spells.

Stuff like this:

Or the edited market where all the houses were full 3D and you could enter each to chat with the inhabitants.

Why doesn't Nintendo ever just release a version of the game which has all the stuff from the beta versions? It'd have been much better than just the updated port that was Ocarina of Time 3D...

They probably don't have enough of that old version put together to use it for the entire game. I do like that sword stab move he did, honestly I always question why they take so many finished aspects out of their Zelda games before release. OOT and MM would be cool to play with some additional sword moves, areas, dungeons, etc. but it is really unlikely to ever happen.

Combat looked awesome to me; the only thing I didn't like was the way the buttons are set up.

I think it'd be neat to see/play.

Personally, it looks really empty, environmentally. I think it'd be cool to see where it was during that developmental time, though. Perhaps some things are better left unseen....

I remember about a year ago or so some guy was trying to recreate the beta from videos and other released content.

I remember I heard a rumor that the DD attachment for the n64 had a "swamp" level but it was never released. As much as it excited me, I am the type that wanted physical evidence. In a sense it was true though, because Nintendo dropped that add-on in the US in exchange for that little hard dive you put inside the top of the system, and MM could only be playable with that thing on it. I believe the "Deku Scrub" palace was THAT swamp level.
