Really though, that's some excellent composing if you can make a limited selection of music work in multiple entirely different circumstances without it feeling out of place.
Like how this track manages to work in both a volcanic wasteland and a desert without any changes:

How this one manages to work in both a cave and Wet-Dry World and feels completely right for both situations:

Kudos Nintendo for making a soundtrack that sounds so good you didn't even need a particularly long track listing to give the whole game an appropriate atmosphere.
You have to admit its quite impressive how you can fit the Mario 64 music in just about any situation, right?
