Does Windows seem to break, crash, and slow down more then other operating systems you use?

Yes, I hate it when Windows software crash in Windows 7 and Vista. But, most software I use crashes less frequently on Ubuntu Linux 10.10 when I use them in Ubuntu Linux. Also, I found Windows and programs made for Windows tend to use a lot of RAM maxing out my RAM Usage up to 80-99% which is frustrating since it makes my PC slow down freeze or slow down suddenly, and I have to turn off my computer by pressing the power button on the front of my PC case. However, Ubuntu Linux 10.10 does not slow down or crash as much in my experience. Plus, I never have to defrag my hard drive in Ubuntu like in Windows since the filesystem keeps all files defragged automatically.

IMO it depends on the computer setup and hardware, plus the user too.
Ive been using windows 95, 98, ME (ok ME did crash sometimes), XP and now 7 and have never really had the crashing and security issues like most microsoft users claim,

maybe its a problem when its preloaded by techs in a lab somewhere in china?

dunno

It can also depend on the brand of computer since when I got an HP computer it was pre-loaded with a ton of software like WildTangent casual games, toolbars, and plug-ins which I never used, and most of them start up by default. I had to manually remove a lot of the software.

But, when I installed Windows 7 myself by doing a clean install, it has fewer software I don't want except for Sound Recorder, and Internet Explorer.

I upgraded to Windows 7 from Windows Vista Preloaded on my HP desktop, but it did not go well, so I just did a clean install after Windows 7 was freezing a lot because of an upgrade. Now Windows 7 runs decently on a clean install on my computer.

I don't have many issues with Windows 7 on my own install except for the concessional slow down caused by a buggy website which has a lot of scripts, flash, and applications running on it which cause my web browser to crash.
