What's the difference between a domain name registrar and reseller? Is it important when registering a new domain?

My best way of explaining (Which may or may not be 100% accurate):

A domain registrar is a company that manages, leases, and reserves domain names to consumers! Examples of registrars are NameCheap (I recommend this one!), and GoDaddy (I do not recommend!)!

A registrar is where you go to register a new domain, for a fee! Keep in mind that a domain must have a unique name!

A reseller sells and auctions off domain names that have expired and haven't been renewed in time, or have been sold by the current owner!

pretty sure this is accurate.

Thanks for the explanation on domain name registrar and reseller.

Domain Registrar: Registrars are authorized organizations that take responsibility for processing domain name registrations.
And resellers register the domain on behalf of the registrars, but do not have a contractual relationship with ICANN.
Otherwise, there is no difference. I chose pananames.com because the prices are affordable and everything is fair. And here all the prices are known in advance, and not after you have already registered the domain. You can immediately find out the prices for domain name renewal and renewal prices are known for 10 years in advance.

Good. Then I will try to register domain names with a registrar.
Make sure to look out for discount codes, renewal fees, and transfer fees. Even though it might be cheap for the first year, it might cost a fortune, later on, to renew it or transfer it to another registrar.

When choosing, pay attention to the price of the TLD renewal. For example, I use the services of a Panamanian registrar. There, renewal prices are known for 10 years in advance.
