Nintendo has confirmed that Cranky Kong will be a playable character in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, which will release in the US on February 21. This announcement follows our report that a box art leak showcased Cranky on the game's cover alongside Donkey, Diddy, and Dixie.
The original Kong has the ability to bounce on his cane, much like Scrooge in Duck Tales. Cranky is the fourth playable character announced for Retro's upcoming Wii U game. Check back soon for more hands-on impressions of Tropical Freeze.
