Okay, I've noticed before that there have been some people (when discussing which console/system they think is better) that are completely against a particular system. I am a Nintendo fan and always have been ever since I got into video games. I don't hate on the other systems. I'm just more into Nintendo because they produced more games that interest me. It isn't worth it (in my opinion) to spend that kind of money on a console if there are only 1 or 2 games that I'm going to play. A console has to produce quite a few games for me to even consider purchasing it.

Anyway, why do certain people hate on opposing system/consoles so much?

It's called fanboys and they will stick to something without reason. They just defend something no matter the evidence.

I'm pretty sure I've run into a few of them.

Why do certain people hate on anything really? Why do we argue about politics, religions, sports? That's how humans are: competitive and born with an instinctual need to defend what we love and attack what opposes the things we love.

That is true. There are some people that are just competitive or combative, regardless of the situation. When it comes to something that I believe in, I am more than happy to discuss it but I don't try to shove it down someone's throat.

Amen, fanbois system is a thing these days. They find some thing to hook onto and they stay that way for quite a long time. The best part is that every so called faction has a fanboi system.
