Dragon Quest VI sold nearly a million copies following its Japanese debut last week. It shouldn't come as a surprise, but Square Enix has more Dragon Quest on the way.
The next DS Dragon Quest game will be one of the DQ series spinoff titles. Square Enix will be releasing Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 to Japan on April 28.
Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 is a sequel to the original DQM Joker, which has sold 1.9 million copies worldwide. Square Enix is promising added volume, with over 300 monsters available to collect, raise and combine, and full online combat. The original's online support was just through downloads. Players can expect 1 to 8 player support this time.
Unfortunately, Square Enix has yet to release online media for the game. However, the latest issue of Weekly Shounen Jump has screens, so these will hopefully be shared with online sources shortly.
