So, since Denis Villeneuve's Bond isn't coming out until 2028 at the earliest, and since IOI is releasing a Bond game next year, I've decided to rewatch or finally watch all 27 currently released Bond films and rank them from worst to best.
I'll be starting with Dr. No, of course.
Dr. No:
A very enjoyable spy thriller that fizzles out during the last twenty minutes. Dr No himself was sort of intimidating but he never truly became a great. I'd honestly say that he's basically just a nuclear scientist with metal hands.
The Bond girl, Honey Ryder, doesn't really do anything and I honestly think the film could've skipped her entirely and nothing would've changed. She's really just there for the sex appeal and I'd rather have something there to actually counter bond rather than just stand around and not do anything.
The first two acts of this film are pretty excellent, it's a really slow and suspenseful spy thriller and I honestly missed this kind of Bond film. It also looks great for how cheaply this is made, which is a bonus.
For right now, it'd be in first place but I'm expecting the next film to surpass it.
