The story is quite original because, unlike the usual story of a haunted house bought by a young couple, an evil unborn twin, or sacred book containing magical incantations found at the bottom of a dilapidated old barn, this is just the story of ordinary a young woman working in a bank and how he desire to get promoted brings death to her door.

Her fate is sealed when she encounters an old lady, sickly in appearance, begging for the extension of her credit it to avoid losing her only wealth: his house. This was without counting on the strength of character Christine Brown (our young banker) who will use this old lady to show her boss that she knows to be intransigent.

This would have ended well if our old lady, scorned in her honor, wasn't actually a gypsy mistress of demonic incantations. Christine is therefore cursed by a spell that leaves her with only three days to live before the Lamia (a demonic being with characteristics of a goat) comes to take her to hell.

This is where the genius of Sam Raimi decides to point the tip of his nose to embark us in a deluge of tension and humor. Because we must admit that surprisingly, Drag Me to Hell while having a few moments that will make you jump, also have a few scenes that will make you laugh. Without spoiler elements of the film, I would say that the old lady is explosive in her kind.

In conclusion, Drag Me to Hell is a good genre film that's worth a look as long as you love the myths of hell, spirits Machiavellian and cursed beings or simply like light horrors.

Oh my god are you guys serious? This is a shit excuse for a movie. I've never laughed so hard at a horror movie. A talking goat? Someone dancing in the middle of the air? How can you say this was a good movie!

Never watched this movie before.

I was in high school when this movie came out. My friends and I drove to the next town just to see it and COULD NOT take it seriously. The final straw for us was the talking goat at the end of the film. Positively hilarious, but not what we had set out to watch that night.
