Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced on Tuesday that they will screen Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, the second anime film in the Dragon Ball Super franchise, in theaters worldwide this summer in both the original Japanese audio with subtitles, and with a dub. The film will be Crunchyroll's first globally-distributed theatrical release. Crunchyroll is streaming an English-subtitled trailer for the film.

Crunchyroll will distribute the film in "all continents, including North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia/New Zealand, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia (excluding Japan)". Crunchyroll describes the film:

The Red Ribbon Army was once destroyed by Son Goku. Individuals, who carry on its spirit, have created the ultimate Androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. These two Androids call themselves “Super Heroes”. They start attacking Piccolo and Gohan… What is the New Red Ribbon Army's objective? In the face of approaching danger, it is time to awaken, Super Hero!

So! I saw this movie this weekend, not a huge fan of the style look, but it worked pretty well at most points. The movie was really funny at times and the action really up there as well, might be the best DB movie in a long time.

Anyone here see it? It's currently number 1 in the box office :)

I like the style put into it, but does this mean Goku will be even stronger than in Super? My take was it would be live-action but that's always a curse.
