Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past

Just started playing this since I've owned it for over a year now. Figured I play this huge game and then tackle DQ 11 for a good 200 hours worth of gaming

I beat the original 3 times, and I’m about 30 hours in the 3DS version. It flows faster in the remake, which isn’t a bad thing.

I did hear the original was a slow grinder.

I know they did make it easier to level up, and they might have rebalanced the stats. As much as I love the original, it doesn't pain me to say the 3DS version is the superior one.

Yeah I figured, but the story is keeping me enthused.

The story has been pretty good so far, but god damn the back tracking... I'm glad I decided to use action replay to thin out the need for battles.

Finished it, really great story but damn the gameplay was so bad. Also the character designs were way over used.
