Following weeks of PS3 and PSP dominance, DS reclaimed Japan this past week, topping Media Create's software and hardware sales charts. These latest charts cover 3/15 to 3/21.

On the software side of things, Super Robot Wars K debuted in first place, selling 117,388 units despite its unusual Friday release (most games come out on Thursday). The Bandai Namco anime strategy title fought off a number of new releases as well continued strong sales for some recent PS3 blockbusters.

Here's the full top 10.

* 1. Super Robot Taisen K (Bandai Namco, DS): 117,388
* 2. Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball 2009 (Konami, PS2): 50,324
* 3. Amagami (Enterbrain, PS2): 42,490
* 4. Mario & Luigi RPG 3 (Nintendo, DS): 39,183
* 5. Musou Orochi Z (Koei, PS3): 35,545
* 6. Resident Evil 5 (Capcom, PS3): 29,120
* 7. Rittai Picross (Nintendo, DS): 24,172
* 8. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G PSP the Best (Capcom, PSP): 22,714
* 9. Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball Next (Konami, Wii): 22,496
* 10. Dynasty Warriors Multi-Raid (Koei, PSP): 18,678

Although taking the clear lead in the software department, DSi just barely managed to beat the PSP in hardware this week. Both systems saw new colors over the week, although for the PSP this was the second set of color releases for the month. DSi came out on top with 71,233 units, compared to the PSP's 65,765 units.

Here's the full hardware sales chart, with last week's totals in parenthesis:

* DSi: 71,233 (27,564)
* PSP: 65,765 (43,463)
* PS3: 25,435 (28,014)
* Wii: 18,095 (17,941)
* DS Lite: 8,948 (11,571)
* Xbox 360: 8,378 (5,441)
