So how is the DS4 for the PS4? Has Sony ever released a patch to fix the light issue on the controller?

What light issue?
I personally think it is one of the best controllers ever made. It is very comfortable in the hand, has a decent battery life and charges quickly when connected to the console. People have said that it isn't exactly durable and uses some sub-par materials. I haven't suffered from that yet but I can imagine it becoming an issue.

That the LED light (or whatever light it is) on the front of the controller that communicates with the PS4 won't turn off.

I like the DS4 a lot! Definitely my favorite. Everything about the controller I like, such as the weight, layout, and thumbsticks.
Compared to other controllers, I feel that the battery life is somewhat low. That's the only problem I have with it.
When using the PS3, I have to use the DS4 because the DS3 just feels so much worse.
