What are your predictions for E3 this year?

Here is mine:

Sony:
  • Crash Bandicoot remake by a Sony Studio/working together with Activision for a PS4 exclusive
  • Release dates for The Last Guardian and Horizon: Zero Dawn. Both should be within 2016, Horizon might get delayed to 2017
  • God of War 4 announced
  • A new Sucker Punch IP will be announced - release in 2017
  • Bend Studios open world horror game IP will get a teaser trailer
Capcom:
  • Resident Evil 7 footage/trailer
  • Resident Evil 2 remake footage/trailer
  • Resident Evil Revelations remaster
  • Dino Crisis reboot?
Others:
  • Nintendo NX reveal
  • Skyrim remastered
  • Shadow of Mordor 2 announced
  • Watch Dogs 2 announced
  • Assassins Creed collection/remaster announced
  • Bioshock collection/remaster

Pretty much everything you said.

Though I hope Microsoft really brings the new games, they need something to drive their gaming section more.

Also there is rumors of a slim Xbox one coming out which if true both Sony, Nintendo and MS will be announcing a new console this E3 for a possible fall release setting up a Neo Console War.

Going to be a messy end of the year.

I doubt we will hear of PS4K at E3, just seems a bit too soon. The Xbox Slim sounds like a real possibility though.

So both consoles, released on the same year and month, one coming out with a new version is just right and the other is too soon? Going to need to explain this one to me a bit more :p

Or you just feeling irritated at possibly buying a newer PS4?

Simple really. A slim version is literally just a smaller model with the same technology - not a hard development process. With the PS4K, it is completely different hardware going into it, hardware that Sony don't seem to have finalized yet, and hardware that I know developers don't have their hands on yet (as found out via Digital Foundry). The PS4K will involve different system specs, no way they are announcing it before studios have their hands on it to show something off with the new systems. Whereas with an XB1 Slim, the specs are the same and they can announce that easily without the need for developers to have things in the pipeline for it. Additionally, I believe Sony's priority in terms of hardware this year is PSVR. Microsoft don't have anything else on the plate.

Slim versions usually have a slight hardware change, but nothing major really, which the Xbox slim is rumored with changes as well. I don't think Sony is changing up the PS4.5's hardware that much, merely upgrading a few things from what I read or maybe I didn't read enough into it.

Like you said Sony is focusing on PSVR, meaning that this PS4.5 could be in regards to that and so long as any game made for PS4.5 works on PS4, there is no need to for developers to have anything. And as a reminder Nintendo did this with the N3DS and so far there is only one game and service tied to the N3DS but makes playing 3DS games better which should be true for the PS4 games.

And of course Sony hasn't officially announced this, so anything could happen.

Here's how I did, green represents correct, orange represents nearly correct and red equals wrong.
What are your predictions for E3 this year?

Here is mine:

Sony:
  • Crash Bandicoot remake (a remaster but close enough) by a Sony Studio/working together with Activision for a PS4 exclusive
  • Release dates for The Last Guardian and Horizon: Zero Dawn. Both should be within 2016, Horizon might get delayed to 2017 (delay was before E3 but after this thread)
  • God of War 4 announced (not a numbered title though)
  • A new Sucker Punch IP will be announced - release in 2017
  • Bend Studios open world horror game IP will get a teaser trailer (we got a trailer & gameplay)
Capcom:
  • Resident Evil 7 footage/trailer (we got a trailer and demo)
  • Resident Evil 2 remake footage/trailer
  • Resident Evil Revelations remaster
  • Dino Crisis reboot?
Others:
  • Nintendo NX reveal
  • Skyrim remastered
  • Shadow of Mordor 2 announced
  • Watch Dogs 2 announced (was before E3 but after this thread)
  • Assassins Creed collection/remaster announced
  • Bioshock collection/remaster (this is still on the cards. It was expected at E3 along with Red Dead Redemption news but was apparently cut after the mass shootings - hence why the conference was cut short. Watch this space)
I was also right about seeing Xbox One Slim at E3 but not PS4k.
