Other eBay Is Banning The Sale Of Adult Video Games

On June 15, global auction site eBay will be implementing a new “Adult Items Policy”, and it goes a lot harder on mature content than simply outlawing the sale of pornography. As per its outline:

The following items are not allowed:

- Adult items with content that is illegal

- Item that do not comply with our Illegal explicit content policy

- Sexually oriented materials, including items containing nudity and displays of sexual activitys, are not allowed. This includes the following: Adult films and video games with a rating of X, XXX, R18, or unrated for an adults-only audience

- Sexually explicit anime, comics, books, films, animation, manga, hentai, yaoi

Games that are sure to get the ban hammer would be like God of War and possible Grand Theft Auto.

Slightly confused about this. Will this include games and movies will some nudity/adult stuff or does the whole "plot" of the game/movie need to be adult themed for it to be banned?

not sure, ebay is most likely going to take the hard road on this one.

Seems like one of those decisions that get reversed pretty quickly unless this is something to do with adhering to some laws in some countries

Idk when but I'm pretty sure they banned Pornographic material a few years prior. Or if not, were trying to in some countries.
