I don't think I could ever buy this for myself but oh I would actually love something like this. I do have have insulated cup but my coffee tends to still get too cold because I get too focused on work. I probaby reheat my coffee at least 2 times before I drink the entire mug in the morning. Have you guys see this? What do you think of the Ember mug?
 
I think Ember looks like a good mug for people with unreliable electricity or go out a lot where they need a battery power heated mug to keep their drinks warm. It also looks good for people who don't like microwaving or re-boiling their drinks in a pot to re-heat them.
 
Pretty neat, but I'm more of a cold drink person.
 
I'm sure the technology will be available some day. Right now I believe it's easier to heat things up than keep them cool. Even with the travel tumblers like Yet or Arctic they claim to keep drinks cook however, that's really the only case if you start with iced drinks.
 
I guest there is not as big of a demand for cups which cool drinks because ice cubes are easy to make with a tray, and ice is free at most soda machines, or cheap to buy at a store.
